Wayne Shen started his boating experience at Lake Erie and Finger Lakes area while he was a graduate student at Buffalo, NY around 1990. In 1995, Wayne moved to San Francisco and began boating actively in the SF Bay and Delta area. He finished his formal sailing training in year 2000 at Club Nautique. Wayne held a USCG OUPV and 50 Ton Master Captain License. He is the owner of a 29′ powerboat “Green Puffer” in the past eight years.
Outside the boating world, Wayne is a small business entrepreneur. He held a Ph.D. on Electrical & Computer Engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo and also a MBA degree from Santa Clara University. He loves to explore different possibilities in life.
